About Dr. Vester Appiah

Our founder, Dr. Vester Appiah, is a dedicated and highly experienced Licensed Professional Counselor with a career spanning over a decade. She has built her expertise in supporting individuals facing a diverse array of challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, substance abuse, relationship issues, major life transitions, ADHD, spiritual dilemmas, and other complex mental health concerns.

Dr. Appiah's academic journey reflects her deep commitment to understanding and assisting others. She began with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University and furthered her education by earning a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health. Driven by her passion for healing, she pursued a Doctor of Education with a specialization in Community Care and Counseling, where her focus was on Traumatology. Additionally, she holds a certification in pastoral counseling from Liberty University.

Over the course of her career, Dr. Appiah has dedicated herself to serving diverse communities through various settings, including residential facilities, outpatient clinics, and community-based services. Her therapeutic approach is characterized by a collaborative spirit, blending acceptance and change strategies to empower clients in reaching their personal goals.

Drawing from a diverse array of therapeutic techniques, Dr. Appiah employs an eclectic style that encompasses Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Her true passion lies in guiding her clients toward holistic mental and spiritual well-being, equipping them with a comprehensive plan to address and nurture their mental health. Through this, she fosters personal growth and resilience, truly embracing the concept of the 'Tree of Life.'
