I believe every difficulty in our lives brings an opportunity to grow stronger and find fulfillment. Both overcoming and flourishing are possible, regardless of circumstances around us. As a professional counselor, I have walked alongside people on their journeys to healing and wholeness since 1981. I have seen the triumph and beauty in the human spirit as it heals from trauma and loss and is restored to vibrancy.
I use a blended style of counseling, with an emphasis on the cognitive-behavioral, i.e. the importance of how we think and its impact on our life choices and behaviors. I work with people to gain effective and healthy life, communication and relational tools, encouraging them to address the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of life.
In working with adults and adolescents as singles, couples and families, we have faced the challenges of depression, anxiety, panic disorders, childhood abuse in many forms, chemical abuse and addictions, infidelity, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders, parenting and relationship issues.
