Hello, my name is Greg Mahoney and I have been a Professional Counselor for over 27 years.  I have a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology.  I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor licensed by the State of Illinois.  I have worked in numerous settings: Inpatient, Outpatient, a Substance Abuse Clinic, and in Churches.  I have wide-ranging experience both professionally and personally.  I have been married to my wife for 32 years and we have raised three daughters.  I feel it is the calling of my life to help others and it has been the Joy of my life to do so.

I have expertise in dealing with Conflict Resolution, Anger Management, Depression, Anxiety, Substance Abuse, Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, Coping Skills, Stress, Trauma/PTSD, and Dual Diagnoses.  Greg is adept at various therapies such as: Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Eclectic, Existential, Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Multicultural, Rational Emotive Behavior (REBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Strength-Based, and Trauma Focused.  I work with Adults, Couples, Families, and Groups.  

I realize the immense amount of pain and suffering that everyone has been dealing with lately and I want to help alleviate that pain.  I am excited about the opportunity to help others at The Behavioral Solutions Group.  I am confident that my colleagues and I can help a great number of people learn to function in a healthier mindset.
