I love having the privilege of helping men and women who are simple working through the everyday challenges of life - whether it's marriage, divorce, coping with loss, dealing with past or present hurts, or even abuse.
I want to offer a safe place to process, think things through, and gain perspective as we come up with alternatives. Our goal is a healing journey!
I have been in practice as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist for 27 years in the Newport Harbor area in Southern California, specializing in Women's Issues. My heart is to help both women and men toward healthy change and growth as well as to encourage trust in God. I enjoy working with couples and families, and often lead parenting workshop groups.
Because I believe healing takes place in the context of relationships, I see therapy as an ideal place to sort out and work through the difficult places in our lives. As we pour onto the table the jumbled jigsaw of present or past problems, we begin to make sense of the big picture.
My bias is toward helping make marriages work if at all possible, and my worldview is distinctly Christian, Though I do not expect my clients to embrace my values or beliefs, I believe incorporating the spiritual element can contribute greatly toward therapeutic success and wholeness.
