Christian Mental Health Providers
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
I believe struggling and suffering are part of the human experience. But we do not have to go through life alone. God calls us to heal in relationship with him and with each other. I am a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania with training in Christian counseling, thus I offer an integration of psychology and Christian counseling when I work with individuals and couples.
My approach is client centered and collaborative. I value being genuine, compassionate, and in-tune to each individual. I consider your needs, goals, personality, history, and cultural/environmental influences. I integrate faith as little or as much as desired by the individual(s). I understand that we are all at different stages of our walk with God and we all want different things from our counseling experience.
I have experience working with adolescents and adults, individuals, couples, and groups through college counseling, community centers, group practice, and geriatric populations in rehabilitation facilities. Additionally, my work has been informed by my background in public health and my experiences with people while living in places including Cameroon, Senegal, Ghana, El-Salvador, France, and multiple U.S. states.
Some common issues I treat include depression, anxiety, self-esteem and self-worth issues, identity issues, relationship challenges, grief & loss, family conflict, cultural and life transitioning, marital problems, church hurts, issues related to aging, people who identify as highly sensitive persons, people who have high mood fluctuations, dealing with trauma, ADHD, career decisions and work stress.
