Greetings,

I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology at Saint Louis University, internship at Virginia Treatment Center for Children, and post-doctoral training at Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress (formerly Kennedy Krieger Institute Family Center). Since becoming a psychologist, I have worked with adults on a number of different specialty areas including but not limited to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life adjustments, trauma, goal planning, life transitions, relationships, stress management, and medical stress. I believe in a collaborative relationship with my patients. This means I partner with you to help you understand your current life situation, your emotions, and feelings. My goal of treating is always to help my clients learn the skills needed to work toward living the life they envisioned for themself. I have a special research interest in trauma and also one on the effect of spirituality and religion on an individual’s functioning. In my spare time I enjoy writing and gardening.

By declaring myself to be a Christian psychologist, I am confessing Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and am acknowledging my firm and active belief in the following truths:

God: There is only one true God. (Deuteronomy 4:39)
God the Father: God is the creator and sustainer of all life. He has always been and will always be. (Genesis 1:1; 2:7)
Jesus, God the Son: Jesus, the promised Messiah, was fully man while remaining fully divine. Through Him, man is reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:19, 21; Colossians 2:9; and 1 Timothy 2:5-6)
