Are you feeling overwhelmed? Feeling like you are not in control of your life? These experiences can get in the way of your job, your confidence and your ability to be present in daily life.
You might be thinking,
"Nobody knows what I'm going through."
Or have thoughts telling you that,
“You are just not good enough.”
You end up feeling lost and hopeless.
You deserve to live a full life and experience calm and confidence in who you are.
Difficult things happen. It's not your fault. I can help you find balance and a sense of calm in your life. You do not have to believe everything you’ve been told about your worth. I can help you look inward and find resources and help you see how strong you really are.
I became a therapist because I know what it’s like to suffer and I have experienced how life changing therapy can be. I have always been passionate about helping others find hope and healing in their own lives. I am an LPCC and I have a Master’s degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary.
It is my number one goal to support you and help you experience a sense of safety and stability. You will learn coping mechanisms and ways of managing the overwhelming feelings and emotions. I use different approaches to address trauma; one of these approaches is Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing or "EMDR." Research has shown EMDR therapy to be effective in treating PTSD. EMDR helps you process through debilitating thoughts and beliefs you've struggled with as a result of past experiences. EMDR helps get "stuck" memories "unstuck" so that you can move on with your life and stop living in the past. I also use a somatic, body based approach that is holistic in addressing the entire person (body, thoughts and emotions).
