Christmas is a time for joy, celebration, and reflection on the birth of Jesus Christ. However, Bill Crower's Christian Christmas quote reminder us "The great challenge left to us is to cut through all the glitz and glam of the season that has grown increasingly secular and commercial, and be reminded of the beauty of the One who is Christmas." Just this year, I found myself struggling to remember the real meaning behind this time of year as I was shopping for a toy drive. Mind you, donating Christmas presents to our local toy drive was my effort to "keep Christ in Christmas."
I am sure like me, you may find it is easy to lose sight of Christ during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. From shopping for gifts, to decorating or even watching the newest Christmas movie on Hallmark, we sometimes have to work to remember the real meaning of Christmas.
This is why I enjoy Christian Christmas quotes. Christian Christmas quotes are a simple way to refocus on Christ. Whether I am reading a catchy Christmas phrase, driving by a church Christmas sign, pondering the words of CS Lewis, or reading Christmas Bible verses points me to the miracle of Jesus' birth, they all cause me to pause and remember the true meaning of Christmas.
This is why I decided to compile a list of some of the most popular Christian Christmas quotes this year. You can use the quotes below in a variety of ways, such as:
Include one in your holiday greetings.
Making them available on social media
Putting them all in a hat and selecting one each day
Having your family and friends vote on which one they prefer
Attaching one to a Christmas gift tag

25. “If we celebrate with such solemnity the birth of Jesus, it is to bear witness that every human being [is] somebody unique and unrepeatable…somebody thought of and chosen from eternity, some[one] called and identified by his own name. It is as it was with the first man, Adam. It is as it was with the new Adam, born of the Virgin Mary in the cave at Bethlehem: ‘You shall call his name Jesus.’” - St. John Paul II

He was humbled in the womb of the Virgin, needy in the manger of the sheep, and homeless on the wood of the Cross. Nothing so humbles the proud sinner as the humility of Jesus Christ’s humanity.” - St. Anthony of Padua

CS Lewis Quotes about Christmas
C.S. Lewis is a well-known Christian author who was known for removing barriers to faith that most people face today. He did, however, have what I call a love/hate relationship with Christmas. He was well-known for not sending Christmas cards or giving Christmas gifts (except to children). "Can it really be my duty to buy and receive masses of junk every winter just to help the shopkeepers?" he asked in "What Christmas Means to Me."
Despite his take on Christmas, I searched the internet for the top six Christmas quotes by C.S. Lewis that will inspire you.

He comes down; down from the heights of absolute being into time and space, down into humanity; down further still, if embryologists are right, to recapitulate in the womb ancient and pre-human phases of life; down to the very roots and seabed of the Nature. — Miracles
38. Among the sheep (I like a sheep have strayed)/ I watch the manger where my Lord is laid; On that my baaing nature would win thence/ Some woolly innocence! — The Nativity
39. So Death lay in arrest. But at Bethlehem the bless’d/Nothing greater could be heard/Than sighing wind in the thorn, the cry of One new-born/And cattle in stable as they stirred. — The Turn of the Tide
40. The central miracle asserted by Christians is the Incarnation. They say that God became Man. Every other miracle prepares for this, or exhibits this, or results from this. — Miracles
