As your child grows older, the need to keep the lines of communication open is so critical. Some topics of conversation are easier than others. As a mom of 3 with kids in elementary school, middle school, and high school, I recognize the importance of being intentional to find ways to bond with my children. With school starting up again, the days will get busy, and irrespective of how crazy the day may look, downtime with one's children is needed. Using Conversation Starter Cards to fuel those one-on-one bonding moments.

How to Use Conversation Starter Cards to Learn More About Your Child

This pack of 96 cards covers general life topics, mental health, questions based on faith, and more. The beauty of these cards is each question may be answered comfortably by a young child or an adult. Each card is designed to encourage conversation between a child and their parent/caregiver.

I would recommend printing the sheets on white card stock, using a paper trimmer to cut the cards out, and placing the cards in a box or mason jar on your table. You could even pop a few cards in your bag to pull out while waiting with one of your children in the carpool line to pick up an older or younger sibling. Some questions are light, recreational styled questions, while others may require more discussion on the same.
